Driving Licence Check-Download PFD and check Status

In this digital era, checking the status of our driving license (DL) in the country has been easy, thanks to the online services provided by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways

If you have just recently applied for a new driving licence, lost your DL number or want to confirm the information submitted, the Parivahan Sewa portal is an easy and convenient way to access all DL services.

Check your DL Status online and track its progress through Parivahan sewa portal. Follow these steps to check the status of your DL application:

  • Visit Parivahan Sewa Portal: Go to official Ministry of Road Transport and Highways website-https://parivahan.gov.in/.
  • Find Driving Licence Services: Click on “Online Services” in menu bar then click on “Driving License Related Services”.

Note

This will direct you to Sarathi Parivahan portal, which handles all driving licence-related services.

  • Select Your State: Select the state where you can applied for your driving licence.
  • Acess Application Status: After, Selection of your State a new page will appear driving licence services. Click on “Application Status”.

  • Enter Required Details: Add following details in Application Status page:
  • Application Number: When you submitted driving licence application a unique number provided to you.
  • Date of Birth: Enter your date of birth in requried format.
  • Captcha Code: Fill the code to verify you’re not a bot.

  • Submit and View Status: Add all details, click the “submit” button. Application status will appear on screen with following information:
  • Application progress (e.g., Under Process, Approved, Rejected).
  • Test result status (if applicable).

If you want to check your driving licence number through your name and date of birth, Parivahan portal provide your application number. Follow these steps to check it.

  • Visit Parivahan sewa Portal https://parivahan.gov.in/ and hit on “Driving Licence Related Services”.
  • Select the state where your driving licence was issued.
  • On the top menu bar hit on “Others” option. Then, click on “Find Application Number”.

  • A new page will appear provide the following information:
  • Name of Applicant: Enter your Government issued ID name.
  • Date of Birth: Provide your date of birth.
  • Mobile Number: Enter your mobile number linked to application.
  • State and RTO Details: Where you can apply select your state and Regional Transport Office (RTO).
  • Captcha Code: Enter code for verification.

  • Submit: Add all information and click on “Submit” all the information application number and related driving licence details is displayed.

If you want to verify your details through driving licence number, use DL number and search for it. Follow these steps to check it:

  • Access the Parivahan Portal: Visit to https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/ and select “Driving Licence Related Services“.
  • Go to Search Related Application: In the “Licence Menu” click on “Search Related Application”.

  • Enter DL Details: On this page add the following information:
  • Driving Licence Number: Enter your DL number.
  • Date of Birth: Input your date of birth.
  • Captcha Code: Type the code shown.
  • Submit: Click on “Submit” and view your driving licence details, including its validity, issue date and more.

If you remember your personal details and lost your driving licence use advanced search option on the Parivahan portal. If you don’t know how it work follow these steps:

  • Go to https://parivahan.gov.in/ and click on “Driving Licence Related Services”. Select your state.
  • In menu bar click on “others” then select “DL Search”.

  • Choose Advanced Search Method. These details are requires in this method:
  • Address.
  • Blood Group.
  • Gender.

  • Enter the details and captcha click on “Search” and print your driving licence details for future.
  • Go to nearest Regional Transport Office (RTO).
  • Bring your all documents and any proof of your driving licence application like(Aadhaar card, PAN card, or passport).
  • RTO staff access your driving licence number and other details.
  • If you use RTO services your information is already in their records.
